Before I was your Mother

Kids love to hear stories about their parents when they were kids. It is funny how a child doesn't even fathom the fact that YOU passed Algebra too! And that you had chores, and played sports and even wrote award winning essays, and read books you didn't particularly like.
Why are they interested in these things? Because it helps them to understand who THEY are and where they came from. It gives them a sense of belonging, and helps them relate to us. It makes us more real to them, and brings us closer. There is a beautiful template in the Gallery to this tune, called "Before I was Your Mother" It is a great way to tell your kids the story of YOU!It is a beautifully designed book that is simple to edit and replace with your OWN story. Just pop your own pictures in at the time you were a baby, toddler, child, etc. and even change some topics to fit your own experience. Use the existing text as a story guide to tell your own story with and Viola! You have written your life for you children.

Simple to create, this project is a template in the Template Gallery at http://www.simplestorybooks.com/. You can do this, and I would be glad to help.

There is also a more masculine version of the template for men, entitled "Before I Was Your Dad" Just search for "cornerstone" or "mom" or "dad" in the template gallery for other options in this area. Have fun! And remember a template is totally manipulative, so you can change or add to it in any way that suits your needs. Most of all, HAVE FUN!
